Arrival Procedures

When you arrive at the car park you will be required to insert the same payment card used to make the booking into the slot on the barrier control panel, for all bookings unless your booking is with Essential Travel, (see below). Since this car park operates a Debit/Credit card recognition system. So before leaving you must make sure you take the card used for the airport parking payment plus your booking confirmation.

Please do not press for a ticket. Your booking will be recognised and the barrier will then raise automatically. If you do not have the same card used to make the booking OR your card is not recognised, please do not insert a different card, as you will be charged again for the parking. Call the attendant by pressing the help buzzer at the barrier and show them your booking reference number.Then proceed into the car park to park your vehicle, unload your luggage, keep your keys and then take the short walk to the terminal.

If you have booked with Essential Travel: Take a ticket at the entry barrier and park your car. You will of course need to bring with you your booking confirmation.

Departure Procedures

On your return walk back to the car park. The departure procedures are the same as the arrival procedures, so once at the exit barrier insert the same payment card used to make the booking into the slot on the barrier control panel. You booking will be recognised and the barrier will raise automatically. Please note if you do not have the same card used to make the booking OR your card is not recognised, please do not insert a different card. Call the attendant by pressing the help buzzer at the barrier and show them your booking reference number.

If you have booked with Essential Travel: Press the buzzer at the exit barrier and then show the operator your booking reference on your email confirmation.

Access to and from terminal 2 is via a covered walkway.

Directions to Manchester Multi-Storey T2

From the M56 - Exit the motorway at Junction 5. Keep to the middle lane signposted for Terminal 1. At the end of the sliproad take first exit off the roundabout down Outbound lane. At the Outbound Lane roundabout take the second exit signposted for Short Stay parking and you will see multi storey parking for terminal 2.
